Cambridge University Open Days 2020

Due to Covid-19, Cambridge University Open Days will now take place virtually

The Cambridge University open days due to be held on 2 and 3 July 2020 will now take place virtually. The experience will not be the same as visiting the Cambridge colleges and meeting academics and students. in person. But it’s great for all potential applicants that Cambridge is running the open days online.

Following the latest advice regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Cambridge University Admissions has cancelled all outreach activities and events until the end of August 2020.

Cambridge University open days normally include presentations on all courses, the application process, student life and finance. Prospective students can visit, accompanied by up to two guests. All undergraduate colleges are represented and are open to visitors. As are the individual academic departments, which run lively presentations on their individual subjects.

On the Cambridge virtual open days, we anticipate that all departmental presentations will be available. And that prospective applicants to Cambridge University will be able to chat to current undergraduates online and to access discussions on finance and the university application process.

For all students interested in applying to Cambridge University for 2021 entry, it is well worth registering for the virtual open days. We anticipate that the Cambridge University pre-interview assessments and exams will still take place in November 2020. Visiting Cambridge online is not the same as visiting in person. Hopefully all interested students will be able to visit the Cambridge colleges later in 2020, once the Coronavirus pandemic has ceased. In-person visits are always advisable, to help get a feel for the individual colleges, and where you would be happiest studying.
